Amphibious Firefighting Helmet
DAT BV, a company that develops and manufactures amphibious vehicles, was investigating the feasibility and marketability of an amphibious firetruck. Amphibious firetrucks could be useful as first response vehicles in water-rich municipalities as a faster alternative to fireboats.
Current firefighting equipment is not suited for use in and around the water, and switching gear in the middle of a rescue mission wastes precious time. That's why I designed the world's first amphibious firefighting helmet.

Philips asked us to design a product that is both an air purifier and a vacuum cleaner. The result was the Philips Pure: a battery powered vacuum cleaner that quietly cleans the air while it's charging in its dock.

“I want to motivate people to spend time together with their children in order to create precious memories”
Baboo is a cute huggable creature with a built in camera. Together with your child you can talk to him about things your child experienced. Think birthday parties, school trips and holidays. In the eyes of the child you're not 'filming' with a camera, but rather 'telling' and 'showing' something to a friend. You'll spend quality time with your kid and build a collection of fun, spontaneous movies to rewatch later.

The original Nescafé Dolce Gusto packaging was, in my opinion, bland and uninspring, especially for a premium coffee brand. The capsules offer so much potential in terms of packaging design, and it was left completely untapped.
That’s why I decided to redesign the packaging with a focus on the capsules. The new packaging allows the packaging to turn into a display tray that presents the capsules to the user. This is a fictional project, not a commission by Nescafé.

The Nomadic Vehicle
The Mammoth is not only a screw-propelled autonomous vehicle, but also a nomadic house. The Mammoth was designed for Nomad City, a city vision by Diamadis Tegkelidis, during the minor Automotive Design. This city is located in a snowy environment and is entirely made up of moving houses.
The Mammoth shelters its inhabitants from the harsh weather conditions, allowing them to move around the city without going inside. The mammoths can connect with each other to create the shared social spaces that are important in human society.

I did some freelance illustration work for Ark Media, a dutch publisher. The first book I did illustrations for was Inspire by Marloes Gersen: a book filled with, amongst other things, creative DIY projects. Most of these drawings illustrate the
step-by-step instructions for these projects. For the second book, Pelgrimage van Smaragd by Annamarie Latour and Frank Bosman, I created a map of Ireland to show the route the writers describe in the book.
